One of the things I really enjoy is volunteering at Amara’s school. It gives me a wonderful opportunity to experience the excitement behind the scenes. I hope as you read these you will think about volunteering or that you will consider joining your local PTA and giving some of your time to your grandchild’s school. It shows them how important you think their education is and it gives you lots of chances to get extra hugs!

Monday the PTA at Amara’s school sponsored an amazing Italian street painting workshop for the 6th—8th graders. The students began their day in the media center where Melanie from We Talk Chalk introduced them to the history of street art and showed slides of some of the murals she and others have worked on.
